How to use this app

Well done for finding us, please keep reading.

Stay Alive is a pocket suicide prevention resource. You can use it if you are having thoughts of suicide or if you are concerned about someone else who may be considering suicide.

You are only a few taps away from crisis support if you need it. Please take some time to browse its features and find the parts that work best for you. The app is totally free to use and confidential.

Stay Alive has some features that you can fill out to personalise the app:

  • Safety Plan: fill in a plan on how to stay safe in a crisis.
  • LifeBox: a place to upload life-affirming photos, videos, and web-links.
  • Wellness Plan: create a plan helping you take care of yourself.
  • Reasons for Living: select your own personal reasons.

It can be helpful to fill these parts in at a time when you are feeling okay, so that they are there when you need them. Don't worry if you don't want to fill them out; the app still has lots of helpful information and resources

This app is intended as a self-help and educational tool and is not intended as a substitute for professional services. Please seek help from a crisis service, doctor or mental health service if you are thinking about suicide. There is information about where you can find help in the Find Help Now section.
