The Listening Place

The world can feel like a very lonely place if you are feeling that life is no longer worth living: not only is it difficult to share those feelings but it can be hard to get the care and support that will make a difference.

The Listening Place operates from multiple sites across Central London and offers a warm and welcoming environment; somewhere that individuals can talk openly about their feelings without being judged or being given advice. Importantly, we provide on-going support from trained non-judgemental volunteers, which can continue over a number of weeks if this is appropriate.

Anyone aged 18 years and over can be referred to The Listening Place. We get referrals from many different charities, as well as health and social care organisations and the NHS. Some people contact us themselves for an appointment. However you contact us, if we think we can help, you will be welcomed, and given an appointment with a supervising volunteer to see how we can best help. If you have any questions about making a self-referral, please get in touch.
